What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on completing the construction of my house which I had began with my second transfer. I fitted all the windows and doors and plastered the whole house. I can attest today that I live in a palace considering the kind of a house I possessed before. Besides that, I purchased a dairy cow with hopes that it will reproduce one day and provide me with milk.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has greatly been changed with the transfers from GiveDirectly as they have enabled me acquire some assets that I never had opportunities to acquire. An example is the dairy cow that I currently consider as the biggest asset I have ever owned.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has practiced utmost fairness when it comes to selection of the illegible recipients to receive transfers. This has helped maintain peace as no one is left to bear the burden of curses from the ineligible recipients. One thing I can recommend the organisation to implement in its operations is the zero tolerance to corruption as we all understand that Kenyans are deeply into corruption.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
Most of my transfer was spent to buy iron sheets because I had to build for my family an iron roofed house so as not to keep on moving from our grass thatched house to my mother's iron roofed house whenever it was raining. I also bought building materials, 1 sack of maize for my family's consumption, bought armchairs for my new house, bought a mattress because I needed to sleep in a clean place, bought clothes for my family, and shoes for myself.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I no longer worry about rainy days anymore because now I live in a bigger, iron sheet roofed house and my family, including myself are happy because we no longer have to seek for shelter whenever it rains, I used to live in a grass thatched house which was small, leaking, dusty and almost falling down.
