What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on admitting my child in to form one at 30,000 KES, bought a sofa set at 10,000 KES, then used the rest of the cash for other home errands.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer in that I no longer do floor repair quite often because it's cemented, I also managed to admit my child into high school.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well by giving the cash directly to the recipients without any third parties involved hence no corrupt deals.

I spent my second transfer on buying 25 bags of cement at 20,000 KES, sand at 4,000 KES,ballast at 3,000 KES, a steel door at 7,000 KES ,paid 8,000 KES on labour and used the rest of the money on food.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest diffference in my life is being able to plaster my house,we no longer suffer from dust related infections like before.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to buy cement and sand which I will use to renovate the floor of my house. I will also buy some cushions for my chairs. The remaining transfers will be saved so that my son who will join secondary school next year will have fees to pay for the whole year.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is having joined a women's support group and after saving for a while with the group I was able to buy iron roofing sheets which I used to replace the grass thatch I used to have.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face right now is lack of a sustainable source of income for myself and my spouse. We need to pay school fees for our children and if we are unable to raise the required fees they may drop out of school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning because I have not met anyone who can annoy me.
