A cry of a mother is to give her children the right directives through educating them hence I no longer have a new goal but to save money for my child's education because I want to see my child go through his education and prosper. At the moment he is my only hope since my three children missed the opportunity to pursue this dream and now they are doing odd jobs to make their living.

GiveDirectly's transfers have come in handy hence the biggest difference in my daily life is that I am able to enroll my child in high school and now I am happy since I am certain of my child's success through education and with this I have been able to disapprove my neighbours who used to under-estimate my capabilities educating my child.

I expect in the next six months my child would be going to school with ease without having to worry about him being sent home for fees since part of the transfers I shall have saved to pay his fees on a monthly basis.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I am currently facing is not being able to provide for my family, especially the basic needs, such as food and clothing. The jobs I depend on are very irregular and sometimes we are forced to go hungry. I am also sad because I don't have enough land to cultivate,I have no choice but to buy everything, while others harvest from their own farms.

The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I come back home with enough food for my family. Knowing that my children will not go hungry gives me joy.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to save most of my transfer so that I can build a kitchen. I am also planning to spend some of it on buying food items so that my family can be assured of proper meals.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is saving enough money from my casual jobs and building myself a more descent and spacious house as compared to the small grass-thatched leaking one my husband left me in when he died in the year 1996.
