Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I have been in position to start up a business of selling shoes. On good days, I get UGX 70,000 that I save part for acquiring cows in the near future. Secondly, I have been in position to hire 3 pieces of land that will boost my crop production and in so doing I will be in position to support my family with ease. Previously, I had a challenge of providing for my family because I didn't have a stable source of income.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I woke up at around 5:00 am, when I turned my phone on for the torch, I show a message from mobile money. Upon checking it, I confirmed that I had money on my account from GiveDirectly. I became very happy because I had got the money to support my family.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent UGX 700,000 of my first transfer as capital for starting a business of selling shoes that currently generates income. In addition, I hire 3 pieces of land, bought household items(a bed, mattress, bed sheets, utensils) and foodstuffs.
