What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on buying two sets of sofa set seat 29,500 KES and a table 3500 KES. I bought clothes for my children 1800 KES and a bag of maize 3500 KES. I also started a small (sugar cane) business.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer in that I am haply living in a spacious house which accommodates my family members comfortably hence I longer stay in a small squeezed house that was made of second hand materials substandard materials.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion,GiveDirectly did well by giving assistance to the poorest households in my village such as the homeless and the needy like me.

I spent the whole of the second transfer to buy building materials and to build a spacious comfortable house, since l was staying in a very small leaky house where by when it is raining I am being rain on.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that, l am now staying in a very comfortable house where l do not need to worry when it is raining because l will not be rain on and the house is also spacious to accommodate me with my family.

I spent my first transfer to buy 15 iron sheets as part of construction materials to build a new and bigger house. The rest of the amount I spent in boosting my sugarcane selling business.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
My main plan is to buy building materials like iron sheets, nails,timber and pay for labour for my house to be constructed since my current house is too small and I have a bigger family.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is that I have managed to work hard and build my house so I nolonger pay rent.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship is that my house is leaking when it rains, also that it is too small for my bigger family .
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is when I am selling sugarcane to travellers besides the road near my home.
