How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Life has change in a mere sense that I sleep well on a good mattress, dress well, eat well and above all I was able to take my daughter to school for a nursing course. Their is a lot of happiness in my daily life when my needs were met by Give Directly.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly did well to come and help us from financial constraints that we have been going through. These transfers have helped people establish their standards of living for example the whole village looks beautiful because most recipients ventured into house construction. We never had hope to have constructed iron roofed houses if it wasn't of Give Directly. Most people have transformed in the sense that even dressing has improved since we could afford clothing and among other necessities courtesy of Give Directly. Everything went well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I have spent ugx 425000 for molding bricks, Cement ugx 300000, Iron sheets ugx 500000, Household items ugx 108000 and Saved Ugx 300000.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
My plan is to use the money for building ironroofed house. This is because the costs of maintaining grassthatched roof is difficult since thatch is hard to get.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of the day is morning, normally since I wake up healthy and go for garden work.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is lack of money for paying school fees. I have my children studying in Elzadai primary school Aloet and raising requirements and fees is not easy.
