Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to continue saving in my merry go round group. I will use it to buy a piece of land. I intend to have a small piece for myself so that my children can grow up on my own property rather than that of their grandparents.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the cow that I own. I bought the cow when I received from my merry go round. I had been saving every month's transfer through the group. I was so glad to be able to achieve my target. The cow has calved and the milk I get goes a long way as a source of income. I sell the milk and use it to buy food and pay school fees for my children.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have bought a piece of land. I really wish and expect to have completed purchasing the land and will be relocating to live on it. I am hopeful because I have money in a merry go round group and also because my cash transfers from GiveDirectly are ongoing. My life will have greatly improved.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
For the first time in my life, I am financially well off because I was able to expand my grocery business leading to more profitability. These transfers enabled me to stop drawing money for food from the business. I use a part of the transfers to buy food instead of relying entirely on the business. As a result, the business is stable and most importantly, I have a lot of savings that gives me hopes of achieving my dream of being a dairy farmer. Dairy farming is one of the leading profitable investments in our area and I am glad that finally, I can do it too like my friends and relatives. This program has completely changed my life.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My next goal is to buy a dairy cow. I will be receiving my collection from the savings group next month and this will enable me to accomplish my desire of owning it.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the fact that I have savings in a merry go round group something that had never been possible before. I will be receiving a huge amount of money form my savings group in May. This will be the largest amount of money I have ever saved and received at once. It makes me so much proud of myself. I am so happy because I will be receiving about KES 50 000. I will buy a dairy cow to increase my sources of income.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change immediately because I will be owning a dairy cow. A productive dairy cow that I will purchase at the end of May will be an additional source of income. Meeting my daily needs will be a lot easier and a smooth task.
