What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer to hire tractor to plough and till my land in preparation for planting and the remaining amount, I spent to buy a cow for rearing.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
If L would not have received the transfer, I would not ploughed my farm like I did and also I would not have bought a cow which would soon provide my family milk.

In my opinion, GiveDirectly through cash transfer, has brought alot of development in our community and also it has uplifted the living standards of recipients in our community. I have not seen anything that GD did not do well

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I had my son and daughter who wanted to join colleges but I never had the money for their fees. When I received my transfer I spent on paying school fees for my daughter who is training as a tailor and my son who has joined a technical college.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is having my children doing their courses of their choice after staying home for a long time when there was no money to educate them.I am feeling peaceful, happy and proud as a parent by is giving them the key to success.Thanks to GD.

I am planning to buy sand, cement, timber, round poles, nails and iron roofing sheets which I will use to plaster and renovate my house.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is having worked as a pot maker and after selling the pots and saving my profits, I was eventually able to buy two goats and a sheep.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face right now is ill health. I am experiencing chest pains and this makes me unable to carry out my normal duties like pot making, I am not sure how I will earn a living, I might even have to sleep on an empty stomach on some occasions.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is around midday when I meet with my neighbours and friends, we often chat as we relax after working in our farms.
