How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I paid my children's school fees and got land for agriculture. In the past, I didn't have a stable source of income for paying my children's tuition and therefore had to rely on loans. I also had only one acre of land that couldn't produce enough food for my family. This usually led to famine since some times I had to sell the very little food for paying my children's tuition.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well in giving me the cash transfer that has met a lot of pressing needs like school fees and feeding. On the other hand, there is nothing bad that GiveDirectly has done.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to pay school fees arrears for my children and on feeding. I also loaned out part of it and received an acre of land as collateral which I will be cultivating on for the time being.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My daily life is very different in that, I now have enough food to take care of my family. Before, I used to sell off food in order to pay tuition for my children but now that food has remained as a food reserve for the household.

The moment I received my cash transfer, I felt excited because paying tuition for my children would not be a problem to me.

I spent my first cash transfer worth UGX 800,000 for paying tuition for my children. I bought A bull worth UGX 800,000. The balance of of UGX 100,000, I spent it on buying clothes and shoes for my children.
