How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, I have been able to save and buy household items to beautify my home. My life is easy as I can now afford to dress well and eat healthy food. I saved and bought building materials which I plan to use to build a new kitchen. I do not have to depend on my husband financially all the time.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I do not have any new goal as I had planned so much with the transfers and the main one was to buy more building materials to build a new house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life I have saved and bought household items which helps beautify my house. I saved for a few months and bought some bedding and a sofa seat which I did not have previously. My life is so different as I can now afford to buy stuff I only dreamt of having sometime back.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to have bought salon equipment to start a hairdressing business which will help generate income for my family. I also wish to buy more building materials to help in building a new house as I still live in my father-in-law's compound and I would wish to have my own compound.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I never imagined a life free of the stress of what meal to eat next. This is gone now, from the transfers, I am able to meet most of my family needs and to make it better, I meet them on time. Back then, I took longer in looking for jobs and most of the time I lagged behind on meeting my family's needs. I am grateful to GiveDirectly.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new additional goal is to buy equipment for use in my salon in the next four months. I want to buy this equipment and open my own salon. From this, I will be making more income as compared to what I am currently getting from the same business because I am doing it remotely and not so many people know it. I will be stationed, I will advertise my job and attract more customers.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Previously, I worried a lot when night fell. I used to sleep on a mat and instead of rejoicing going to bed to relax from the day's activities, I was worried. The mat was too hard and too uncomfortable. The fact that it was spread on the floor made it worse. Now I proudly own a mattress and a bed. I can look forward to the night because I know I will have a night of uninterrupted comfortable sleep.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I am hopeful that I shall have bought the salon equipment and opened a business premise. This shall have attracted more customers and my profits shall be more, and this also means a comfortable life for my family.

Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
I have a new goal of taking my child to university with the income I'll be earning from the business I'm planning to start up. I have never imagined of taking my child to university because I knew I couldn't afford it considering that I didn't have any source of income.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is currently different from the way it would have been if I never received transfer in that I'm now happy and I have the hopes of soon opening a business because I already some money set aside for it.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to have built my home in the next six months because i'm still staying in father-in-law's home.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
At the moment I wouldn't say there is a difference in my daily life because I haven't spent the money yet but I belive in future my life will improve.

I am planning to spend my transfer on improving my hair dressing business through buying of my own appliances and also constructing a permanent structure where i can be based permanently within the village.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement that i am proud of is having started my own business because the income gained has enabled me to sustain most of my needs.
