Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that the cash transfer empowered me to purchase livestock that will reproduce in the near future. More so, I am able to afford food for my family. Being a widow without a profitable income generating activity. I could not support the family needs. The cash transfers have really changed our lives.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was asleep when I received this mobile money message. However, I heard a mobile money message but did not read it. I read it early the next day and I was amazed at what I read. I felt very happy ,because I had received money that was going to help the family.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent UGX 1200000 to purchase two cows and UGX 400000 to purchase two trips of bricks. I gave my parents UGX 20000. I paid UGX 50000 for my son's school fees. I spent UGX 10000 to purchase food. I am plan to spend the balance to buy more stock for my groundnut business.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to build a house that my children will sleep in, buy a cow so that I can have milk and also take care of future eventualities.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest in the morning when my children wake up healthy. I don't have to budget for medical bills.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is lack of oxen. I hire each time I want to farm but this is not rewarding. The owners can hardly release oxen and an ox-plough to anyone if they have not finished their part which in most cases is later in the season. I plant late and harvest less because I have to wait. Food shortage is almost the order of the day in my household because I don't plant at the right time.
