How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is now different in that I bought a bull which is going enable me to plough my gardens on time hence my family will have enough food. I have been able to complete the construction of my house as well. This would have not been possible if I had not received unconditional cash transfers from GD. Thank you for your support.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GD has done well to give us cash transfers because the people have been able to build a good houses, purchase land, buy motorcycles for transportation business, and there is nothing bad it has done.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to buy iron sheets at UGX 480,000, a bull at UGX 700,000, scholastic materials(books, pens) at UGX 60,000. I plan on using the remaining UGX 392,000 to buy cement and doors for my house.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have managed to roof my house which had taken three years at the roofing level. We are so grateful to Give Directly.

The moment I recieved the transfer I felt happy because it was going to enable me roof my house.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer for buying 40 Iron sheets at UGX 1,700,000 for roofing the house I had started constructing.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means to build a permanent iron-roofed house. This transfers will enable me complete my house under contruction.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of the day is evening hours while resting after getting done with both domestic and garden work.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is lack of enough money for paying school fees for my children studying in Bukedea primary school.
