How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I live a very happy life nowadays as compared to the past. I managed to complete a house by plastering and flooring it. I have also secured some building materials which I will use to build another house. In addition to that, I bought household items like Jerry cans, Utensils and clothes. Prior to receiving money, we had very few things to use especially utensils and we wore mainly one pair of clothes. My house was very dusty and damanged by rodents which caused sickness in us like flu due to dust. We are no longer bothered by dust and rats because that is history now thanks to GD.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GD did well in terms of sending me cash transfers. This money has really improve my standards of living because I floored and plastered my house. I have not seen anything that GD didn't do well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
We bought building materials, household items and paid medical bills.
