What did you spend your second transfer on?
I am very grateful for having received money from GD in that people from my community did not value me. When I received my second transfer I bought clothes for my children, they can now dress decently unlike before when they were wearing torn clothes.I also paid their school fees and even cleared all fee balances.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Personally I believe Give directly has improved so many lives by uplifting our living standards both economically and socially because our families are eating well and we are living a happy life.I do not see what they do not do well.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am very grateful because I am now staying in a semi permanent house unlike before when we were staying in a grass thatched house that was seriously leaking whenever it rained. My children are happy and they now dress decently like other neighbour's children.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I received my first transfer, I plastered the walls and floor of my main house at a total cost of 39000 KES and spent the rest on food. My former house was pathetic-it was dusty with cracks and potholes all over and therefore the money transformed the phase of my house.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was really happy the moment I received my money from Give Directly. Since it was my first time receiving such big amount of money at once and therefore my life would improve.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I have faced and that i will never forget is when my son become very sick and we could not afford to pay his medical bills,we struggled so much to raise the finance but I thank God that we pulled through it and he is now well.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evenings when I am relaxing with my children after they return from school and they share with me what they learnt.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money is the greatest miracle that I have witnessed in my life.it will change the lives of all my family members in a great way because my children will be able to go to school and I will also finish construction of my house.
