What did you spend your third transfer on?
I had a plan of moving to my new land and constructing my new home and therefore when I received my third transfer, I moved and constructed a semi-permanent house of 30 iron sheets. Currently, I am entitled to privileges that one enjoys when he/ she builds a home; I enjoy all freedom to plan/ make decisions and execute them without consulting anyone and again, I live more peacefully here.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received transfers from Give Directly since I have managed to build my new home. Culturally (according to Luo customs), having a home is something considered important and a great development. This has given me a lot of freedom to develop.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my own opinion, what Give Directly does well is that it sends us money directly and intact but the amount it sent to us never suffice. I would personally say that some of my projects are still underway and I haven't accomplished all of them yet. I ask them (Give Directly's officials) next time to make it a little bit higher even to new places they are moving into.
