Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I currently staying in a small piece of land that doesn't give me chance to keep the livestock I desire. After receiving my money from GiveDirectly, I was in position to buy land that I plan to move my home to. I am very happy because relocating my home will give me an opportunity to keep livestock which will help meet my family's needs easily. Secondly I aquired a mattress and beddings that have given me comfortable night sleep because the ones I had were very old.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I show a mobile money message at around 6:00 AM as I was switching on my phone, when I went ahead to check I had received money from GiveDirectly. At that moment I became very happy and started planning the time to with draw it.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent UGX 1,500,000 of my first transfer to pay for a piece of land and UGX 200,000 I bought a mattress, utensils and bedsheets.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that I will spend it for buying farm land. My family is facing shortage of food due to lack of land for farming , so once I get this money owning land will be a priority. I will be cultivating and planting enough crops that can sustain the needs of my family members. Therefore they will be no more serious hunger at my home in future.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My favourite part of the day is in the afternoon hours while at boda boda stage. I share with the other boda boda friends on how to pratice customer care and this has helped me maximize my returns at the end of the day.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is lack of enough food stuff. My family survives on unbalanced diet since I do not have land to farm. I receive little produce each season that can help in catering for the family needs.
