How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is different from how it was in that I now own livestock and can confidently walk in the village as a proud member counting my net worth as far as livestock is concerned. This was never the case, before the transfers, I was like any other member of the village with sorrow painted all over my face.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I am planning to add to the number of livestock that I have for future investment. This will support my family in cases of financial constraints we can always sell one or two livestock and generate income.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have always wished to keep livestock in my home but due to inadequate resources I could not. But ever since I started receiving GD's transfers, I have been able to purchase a few livestock each month and currently, they have increased in number. Some have already reproduced.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect that the livestock will increase in number six months down the line. This will be facilitated by both the purchase of more as well as reproduction by the livestock.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was because I can now comfortable manage my expenditure and emergencies. Initially, I could not prepare for unexpected events. I lived on loans when such cases occurred. I could borrow utensils from my relatives which was embarrassing because this are the little things that a woman should have in the house. I am glad that I managed to buy myself such items. I am a proud person who doesn't have to worry whenever visitors come over.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to buy iron sheets. My house is in a bad condition at the moment. It is has a grass thatched roof that needs to be replaced more often. It is usually a hustle because the species of grass that is used for roofing has been depleted and is rarely found. I will use the iron sheets to roof my house and expand my home since my children are growing and will need to have separate rooms.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is that I am now a happy and ambitious person. I managed to buy goats. It is an investment which I plan to sell later and buy an ox because I only have a dairy cow. I am grateful to Give Directly because I did not have to sell my farm produce in order to buy the goats. I also feel relieved because I don't have to wait for the farm produce in order to meet my daily needs.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months because I am planning to buy furniture. My first priority will be to buy a cupboard. I have lost many utensils because I don't have proper storage facility so I end up breaking some of them, others get lost and a few that remain still get dirty because I normally keep them in the basin or a sack. I will have my plates safe when the dream of buying a cupboard actualizes hence saving on extra cost of replacing the broken ones most of the time.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that now I have a place where I can cook from, and I am glad I am happy I was able to build it once.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months,I expect my life to have changed for the better. I believe most of the things I lack now I shall have acquired them by that time. Mostly the basic needs.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different from how it would have been had I never received the transfer in that I managed to build the kitchen once. I did not have to wait for the casual jobs to help me buy the iron sheets.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
My new goal is to plaster my newly built kitchen.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship was a year ago when my house got burned with all my belongings and i had to depend on my neighbours for shelter and also basic need like clothing. Am greatful for my neighbour who contributed some cash and I topped up with my savings, inreturn, I was able to construct my new house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in the evening when all my daily duties are over and am more relaxed and planning for the following day
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to save my transfers and then spend it later. My priority will be constructing my kitchen which i will use to cook and also as a store to keep my grains after harvesting
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement was last year when we had bumper harvest, we sold part of the grains and bought two heifers which will produce milk for my family and also as an investment
