What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent the larger part of my third transfer on paying school fees for my child and my grandchildren who are in college and primary school respectively 17,500 KES. I bought a cow 15,000 KES and chicken 3,000 KES. I also bought two bags of maize and household expenditures.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is difference than I would have been if I never received the transfer in that I have acquire spacious house that accommodates my family members which l never knew I could have. Seeing my child and my grandchild go to school it enhance hope and joy of a successful life for them.Life has also been easier and less stressful since I have enough food to feed on despite the drought we were facing in my community and all this has been possible because of GiveDirectly.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In opinion, GiveDirectly did well by taking their time and resources to carryout door to door visitation teaching my community what GiveDirectly does and giving out money which has changes our living standards in a positive way.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on constructing a new house, purchasing a solar lamp and a sack of maize. I currently moved to a three roomed house and lights with solar lamp instead of paraffin lamp.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is having built a new house which is more spacious and comfortable. I could have not thought of a better shelter if I did not receive this money.

I spent my first transfer on buying a sheep as my family investment for future needs, paid school fees for my grandson in primary school and spent the remaining money on food.

I received my money while at home in the evening and I was excited because I had never handled such an amount before in my life.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I would like to use part of the money to build a new house because my house is very small to comfortable accommodate me with my family. Secondly l would wish to buy a cow and a sheep to help us in future. Lastly l would like to buy household items for my house to avoid frequent borrowing from neighbors.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievements are that we have struggled and bought a cow and also built our house though very small.

My biggest hardship in life is lack of money to buy food for my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in the evening after finishing all my work and relaxing at home.
