Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I woke up from bed early in the morning. I overheard few people talking about the transfer from Givedirectly, but I didn't really believe it. Later on, I heard another group of people confirming their transfer so I took my phone and went at the network site. It was the time I saw my transfer and was very excited about it.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Receiving such a huge amount is indeed the biggest difference in my life as compare to my past condition. My life has really change since Ireceived this money. At least, I am able to think on constructing my own house which I never had the money to do. Givedirectly has help me develop and I am happy.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have decided to build house with my transfer. As a way of doing that, I have decided to purchase 3 bundles of zinc, some park of nails plus the remaining building materials.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I plan to build a house and use the balance to start a business. I live in my father's house now and fortunately, I have started making my own family but unfortunately; I don't have my own place. I don't want people to mock me after GiveDirectly's program. The house I will build can be shown as an evidence of what I did with the transfer I received from GiveDirectly. Another thing I will do with the transfer is to start a business and save money so that I can be competent enough to send my daughter to school when the time reaches. Now that my daughter is a baby, I need to really start planning her future and save more money to send her to school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I'm always happy because I am living with my peace of mind in this town. I have not been taken to court for rudeness or indebtedness to someone within this town. Another thing that has brought me joy and happiness was when my sister who was pregnant, went under operation. As God could have it, she gave birth to a set of twin but one passed away. Because God saved her life, I was very happy for that.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My current challenges are getting food and money. In this setting, only the strong can survive. I spend most of my day in the bush, hustling to get money and food to feed my family. From morning to late in the evening, I have to struggle to get something to sell or eat with my family.
