What did you spend your third transfer on?
I have a two acre piece of land, so when I received my third transfer, I ploughed it and planted sugar cane and some maize. The sugar cane will help me with school fees payment when harvested being that sometime we get the fees and sometimes we do not. From this we will always have fees for our children. The maize will make us never go hungry. I also spent part of the money to buy a heifer that is almost giving birth. I am soon saying goodbye to buying milk for my young children and again for a long time, my cattle have been sleeping outside so some money I spent on constructing an animal shed. They are now free from the harsh weather conditions. What option can I have if not to give GiveDirectly my gratitude!!

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
We are planning to spend our transfer on food. Since the last harvest was not very good, we are planning to stock up on maize, which is our staple. The rest of the transfer will go towards paying school fees for our children, some of whom are in high school.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I am proudest of is growing my own food through working hard in the farm. This way, I am able to feed my family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is lack of money to take my wife to hospital so that she can be treated for her chest problem. She's now had the problem for more than a year.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I am working in the farm with the knowledge that this is my source of livelihood.
