What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that I can start a small business to become self-employed. I earn about KES 150 per day, as a store attendant as compared to what I can earn if I start supplying tea leaves to shops around this area. I will use about KES 50,000 on this. I will also spend about KES 50,000 to educate my wife in a college, to do a lab technology course. to She will get a job and secure income for my family which is more stable.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last 6 months, I am happy that my wife can join a college near home. This has been brought about by opening of several technical training institutions close to home. They are affordable and many including me, with meagre income can manage to pay for it.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest challenge is providing for my family because what I earn is not enough. I make about KES 5000 per month. Constant daily income from my business would make sure we never suffer hunger again!
