How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Through this finacial support, I was able to complete my daughter's tuition and off set all the previous tuition balance that she had. She is currently a qualified nurse and has got an employment. I now living a happy life because my girl earns salary that helping both herself and me. Had I not recieved these transfers, my daughter wouldn't have completed her nursing course because she had an outstanding debt for the previous semester and I had failed to raise money for her final semester.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly did well to give me money that paid to enable my daughter complete her nursing course. GiveDirectly did only good to me.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent all my second transfer to pay tuition for my daughter who is doing a nursing course.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My life has become good ever since I received the transfer because I have managed to off set big challenges that I had in my family. One being able to pay my daughters tuition in a nursing school and the other is acquiring additional household items which are 2 mattresses, chairs, jerrycans and bed sheets. If I had not got this money, my daughter would have not stayed at school. I am grateful to GiveDirectly for the transfer.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the transfer, I became overwhelmed with joy and I thanked God because he hard my cry. My daughter was about to be chased from school because of tuition and GiveDirectly came to my rescue.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent UGX 1,400,000 of my first transfer for paying tuition for my daughter who is pursuing a course in nursing. The balance of the transfer was used for purchasing household items (bed sheets, jerrycans, 2 mattresses, chairs). I repaired the bicycle and took UGX 50,000 to church as thanks giving.

Receiving this money means that I will be able to buy oxen, take care of the scholastic needs of my children.

I am happiest in the afternoon when I am playing with my grandchildren.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is lack of oxen to support my cultivation activity.
