What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on fixing a steel door with two steel windows and now I feel secure in my own house. I bought two sack of maize and I paid school fees for my child who is in high school. I also cultivated my farm with a tractor and now I am assured of a lump sum yields at end of this planting season
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I now have a decent spacious two- roomed hence I feel secure in it as opposed to the one I used to stay in, it was old and almost collapsing . Through all this I am appreciative to GiveDirectly for removing me from poverty I used to be a laughing stack in my village.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well by ensuring money has been sent to the recipients directly and I can say that it's one of the organisation which gives feedback to their recipients on time either through their hotline line or their staffs.

I spent the larger part of my second transfer on building a decent spacious three roomed house . I am soo comfortable in this house since I never knew I will come to see myself in a such a house and being third wife in this homestead, I was a laughing stack as the house I used to live in was almost collapsing . I also paid school fees for my daughter who is in high school.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I never had a mattress and therefore when I received this my first transfer, I spent it on a mattress. I spent the remaining amount on 7 iron sheets that I will used for constructing an iron-roofed house. The status of my current house is worrying.
What are you planning to spend your upcoming transfer on?
One of my child is currently in form 2 and therefore I will use half of the money to educate him. The remaining part of this transfer will go to the construction of my main house.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
We intend to use the first part of the transfer to pay school fees for our child in secondary school in form one. Secondly, we plan to use another part of the transfer to build a new house because this one is in a bad status and can fall down any time. Lastly, we plan to use the remaining amount in expanding our farming activities of growing maize and tomatoes from one acre to three acres to boost our income.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement we're proudest of is having enrolled our two children in masonry courses. One is in Nairobi and the other one is at Kericho.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship we're facing currently is paying school fees for our child in secondary school and the two in the colleges.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the afternoon when I am relaxing after having my lunch.
