How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before I could start receiving my transfer, I have been doing daily hire for example, washing clothes, brushing garden and etc for my neighbours just to sustain my family. However, with the help of Give Directly intervention, I'm now a small business owner and I am no longer doing hard labour to sustain my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly is helping us with money to transform our lives and we are grateful for the support.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my transfer to buy zinc, food, and the balance was invested in my business.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I will build a two bedroom house for my family when I receive the transfers. I was living in Swawoo village in someone's house, but the person threw me out because he wanted to move in,and I was homeless for days till my neighbor gave me a room here to stay with my spouse and five children. I want to build my own house so I can be independent, right now my kids and I sleep in one room which is uncomfortable for my family,no privacy for my spouse and I.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What really brought Joy to my was last month when our community mother gave me a place to stay. I was homeless, the house I was living in was taken from me by the owner. I never had anywhere else to go. I came to her and asked, and she gave me and my children this place to stay which really brought Joy to my life.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenges I'm facing currently is paying my children tuitions. Right now my children are attending school free till I get money to pay their tuitions as I pleaded with the school ,but getting their tuitions is though for my family. I have to work on people farms to save money, and my spouse have to hustle in far communities ,and he doesn't spend time with the family because he had to work to save money for our children school fees.
