How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
First and fore most I am very happy that the cash transfer offloaded the school fess burden that I had on my shoulders. I was able to enrol my children into good schools. Secondly, my family is happy and less stressed because we have money to buy food and basic needs. Had I not received the cash transfers, my school going children would have stayed at home.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my own opinion GiveDirectly does well to send money to the poor without segregation. I can only say that GiveDirectly has done only good things for the poor.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent the cash transfer to purchase food stuff worth UGX750,000 and I spent UGX510,000 on making bricks. I have planned to pay my children's school fees with the balance of the cash transfer.
