How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
These days, my life has greatly improved because I paid the bride price for my wife and renovated the house where I sleep. Previously, the house I slept in was very old and leaked whenever it rained. In addition, I didn't have the money to renovate it and also to buy livestock for paying my wife's bride price.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well by giving the poor people like me unconditional cash transfers which have helped me to renovate my old thatched house among so many other things. On theother hand, there is nothing bad that this organisation has done.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
Althought part of my second transfer was stolen, I used the other portion to buy groundnut seeds, settle medical bills and for ploughing an acre of land. Currently, I still have some little balance that I hope to use for settling future demands.
