What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent a portion of my third transfer on constructing a new house to replace the tiny house that I had before. The house which was single roomed could not accommodate the entire family. I had to partition it into two using a curtain in order to demarcate my bedroom and living room. It was such embarrassing but had nothing to do other than to accept whatever life had presented before me. I am a very happy widow as we speak today since I own one of the best houses in the entire village.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on purchasing school requirements for my children who were in primary school. It was a very big shame on us as the parents to have our children go to school on civilian clothes that torn all over, walk barefooted all the way to school and even carry books in a polythene bag simply because we could not afford raising money to cater for these children's needs. I am so proud of GiveDirectly for the transformation it has brought us that we no longer suffer as we did before.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt so happy when I received my transfer since I knew that through the transfer I would be able to overcome all the barriers I had along my way of success.
