How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The cash transfers have transformed our household. I hired a piece of land that has boosted the family food supply. Previously, I had limited piece of land that was not so productive and we were worried of hunger.

I purchased one bull worth UGX 1070000. I hired a piece of farm land worth UGX 300000. I purchased two bags of groundnuts worth UGX 200000. The balance of UGX 130000 was spent to purchase utensils, and a blanket.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Givedirectly money will enable me build a permanent iron-roofed house that can provide wide space and accommodation for my family.I have been sleeping under a very small grass -thatched roof with no good space to accommodate my household property and members, it forced me to keep some items with neighbours and most of them have got lost.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My favorite time is afternoon especially when Iam chatting with friends. They give me encouraging words of how to develop a family through farming and this puts a smile on me.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is poverty. I do not have money to use for buying land that my family can be farming inorder to get crops for feeding purposes and selling in exchange for money hence Iam poverished with no hope of life.
