What did you spend your third transfer on?
When I received my third transfer, I saved 25000 KES. I believed that my children would do well in their examination and the money put aside would help facilitate it which is currently happening as we talk. I invested the rest in farming-I grow sugarcane and maize to be food and financially secure.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been without cash transfer in that I have established a source of income, courtesy of Give Directly, that supports my household needs as opposed to before then when I could beg to support my family. It is a livestock business and I am happy that it picked well-I sell cows, goats and sheep.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly give out money in bits to curb misuse but if they would consider giving more money, it would be something prudent and we would really appreciate. I propose the money to be more than 1000 Us dollars to enable us accomplish most of the projects we had started.
