What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent half of my third transfer on paying school fee for my brother in form one. Since the death of my parents, the brother had always been under my care. I was the provider of all his needs, be it school fee, clothing, food and many more. I was therefore so glad that the last transfer relieved me from the burden of this year's school fee. The remaining half of the transfer I spent on food. I purchased enough stock to take us through the famine period that the region experienced. I am again so happy that our living standards were improved.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on paying school fees for my brother who is in high school worth 20,000 KES. I have saved the rest of the transfer since I am planning to pay college fees for myself as I have already made an application for a civil engineering course but I am still waiting for the feed back from the college on when to enroll.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that Give Directly has given me an opportunity to pursue my dream of carryout a civil engineering course and I believe that after completing this course I will have a brighter future ahead since I will be more independent.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I plan to pay college fees for myself, I want to further my education because I only managed to finish secondary school. Some of the transfers will also be used to pay school fees for my siblings.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is having cleared secondary school education. I had a difficult time in school since my parents died when I was still young and I was left to care for my younger siblings, but I managed by the grace of God to clear my secondary school education.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face right now is lack of enough money to pay college fees for me. Ever since my parents died I have been the sole breadwinner for my siblings, this means that I any money I get from farming has to be used to pay their school fees and I have had to shelve my ambition of being a teacher.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening because I get to relax with siblings. When we are together I am always very happy because we are a family that has survived the odds to reach the level that we are at in life.
