How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is now different in that, my standard of living has improved because I no longer lack the basic necessities of life. This was not the case in the past, because there was no way of getting money.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give directly has done well in bringing development in the community through giving out unconditional cash transfer. There is nothing bad that Give directly has done.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I have spent my second transfer on buying a cow and to complete the construction of my permanent house.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I am very happy because I was able to buy school requirements for my children. I did not have anywhere to access money to sort my children's schools.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy that day when I received this cash transfer. I felt very relieved because life was not that good at all.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on paying school fees and buying school requirements worth 700,000 ugx. The balance of 1,000,000 ugx I spent it on buying bricks, cement and paying the builders.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will repair my residential house and paying tuition for my son in technical school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when my children are all back from school and they tell me stories
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest challenge is ,I am an able to pay dad for my children and also I have limited agricultural land
