How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, I can afford to buy food for my own consumption unlike when I could only afford a meal a day. I also sleep in a very comfy place as I bought bedding which helps in keeping me warm even in the coldest of seasons. I also paid casual labourers to help in cultivating my farm as I solely depend on farming to generate income for my daily expenditure. Now I have a way of generating income for our daily use as I have the monthly transfers from GiveDirectly.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have a goal of buying materials to use in building a new kitchen as I do not have one. I cook under a tree and thing s always escalate when it rains as I get frustrated when I prepare my family a meal.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have money to buy food each and every day now. My family eats well as we can afford to buy nutritious food daily. I used to struggle so much to beg for money to buy food for the family but I am grateful to GiveDirectly for making sure I can put food on the table for the family.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to save and buy more and enough building materials that I plan to use to build a new kitchen as I do not one. At the end of the six months, I look forward to owning a very beautiful kitchen which will be the envy of the entire village.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I have managed to buy two sheep which are now pregnant and Iknow that soon they will all give birth successfully. What that means is that the population of the sheep will be increasing significantly with time and within a short time I will have a huge flock.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Right now my short term plan is to save as much as I can because I am focussed on buying a cow within the near foreseeable future. I also have to make sure that my grandson goes to school on a full stomach and the school fees are fully paid so that he is not sent away by the teachers.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference for me is that I bought a big blanket worth the cost I bought it at and I am so proud to own it because it lets me have some peaceful nights. I could have never managed to buy the blanket were it not for the transfers from GD. I no longer have to use the old ragged blanket that I had before which could barely keep me warm at night when it's very cold.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I have a plan of buying a cow which I will then hire out to individuals who will help me plow my farm because at my age right now I can say that I am too old to do the farm work that is why I need to be helped. So that means that I will have to pay the young tucks who will be helping me in accomplishing such tasks.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, my life is different since using the transfers I have been able to farm with adequate resources and harvest enough which has made my life very peaceful and improve my living standard.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have been using my main house for keeping poultry and cooking too since I lacked enough resources to build a kitchen which has always predisposed me to a lot of health hazards mainly smoke related infections. My new goal in the next four months is to save money and start buying building materials which I will use to build a kitchen.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Before GiveDirectly came to my village I used to cultivate my farm by hand this was very frustrating since I could bend for long which made me have back pains due to my old age. This greatly affected my harvest since I could neither farm on a large scale of land nor give full attention to the farming work to boost the yields. For this reason, I could suffer from lack of enough food due to low harvest. Since I started receiving these transfers, I have been able to hire workers to cultivate my farm and in a few months time, I will be harvesting a lot hence certainity of enough food that can last me the longest duration ever.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months,I expect my life to have changed from living an unhealthy life to a more healthy one. This will be achieved through the construction of a kitchen to host my poultry animals and aid in cooking activities. I will no longer suffer from respiratory nfections as before.
