What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
For starters with the cash transfer will be of more importance to me at this moment. I will use $500 to first clear my son's school fees areas. I want him to be happy in school for him to attain good grades too. Secondly I will use $ 500 to construct a good house for my family so that they have the comfort of a place they will call home. The remaining amount will go to my savings so that in case of any emergency we are sorted as a family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In April I applied a bursary with our CDF in Ganze and I was awarded a CDF grant of $200 for my son's fee. I was happy or rather that is what has really made me happy this year. I am a strong believer in education opening doors in the future. I am proud that in the long run my kids will be well educated. Many applied for the grant but we're not successful. So with that I am happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I was working at the Brookside company ,but due to the Corona Pandemic I loosed my job . This resulted to me moving back home. I am now a casual labouror in a matatu stage where I try making ends meet for my wife and kids. The challenge I am facing on a daily basis is the ability to meet their needs on time. The eldest is in Shimo La Tewa secondary school and the biggest challenge is school fees. Being unable complete his school fees areas. Another challenge I am facing is the lack of a stable house for my family. I would wish to build them a good structure for them to live peaceful.
