How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I have got 2 pieces of land that I intend to plant crops to sell for my children's education. Furthermore, I was able to pay my children's school fees in time which has given my a piece of mind. Prior to receiving this cash, I didn't have hope of getting money to pay off the debt and get an additional piece of land.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well to give me money that I used to pay off the debt and hire a piece of land. I haven't noticed anything bad with GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer for my children's education, hire a piece of land, buy mattress, clothes, bed sheets, ground nut seeds and pay ploughing my farm land.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I feel so happy because I have where to farm and what I call home. Reason is I have fully paid for my plot and hired gardens to cultivate. Secondly, I'm glad that my son is at school courtesy of this cash. I managed to clear fees and registration plus boarding fees using GiveDirectly's transfers. Lastly, when I'm sleeping I feel so good because I got rid off old mattress and bed sheets since I sleep on new ones therefore I get enough sleep unlike beforw when I used to sleep on the old ones.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When the money hit my account, my heart was filled with joy because deep down me I knew my problems were solved. I have been staying on a plot which I hadn't completed its payments and no land to farm on. Therefore this transfer would help me complete my debt and hire farmland.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my transfer on completing payment of my plot of land. Paid school fees for my son who is a candidate this year in senior four. I hired two gardens plus ploughing and bought groundnuts seeds. The remaining money I used it to buy household items.
