How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is currently different than it was before because after receiving transfers from GiveDirectly, I have been able to buy food with less struggles hence I eat well. I, therefore, do not engage in hard labor like in the past hence I always feel strong and peaceful in mind.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
What I think GiveDirectly does well is helping the needy people living in remote areas. This has helped a number of families to revive and work towards accomplishing their dreams which would have not been achieved without such big financial assistance. In contrary, I think GiveDirectly does not do anything wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on buying a set of chairs worth 20,000 KES which has made my house to look beautiful and more admirable. As a matter of fact, my visitors always feel happy visiting and staying around with me. I also spent part of my second transfer to rent 2 ha piece of land which I am planning to plant in sugarcane. This will help me remember GiveDirectly since it will help earn extra income. From it, I shall raise more money which I will spend on buying food, clothes thus I will continue to live a better better life than I had lived before.

The happiest part of my day is in the evening when listening to gospel music. It gives me hope in life.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life was losing all my children. I do not have anybody to share my feelings, problems and needs with. Losing my Shamba to the land grabbers in this area has also affected my ways of getting food through farming, right now I have to lease a Shamba for me to do farming.
