How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Previously, I slept in a grass thatched hut that leaked whenever it rained. When I got my first transfer, I bought construction materials(bricks, sand, aggregate, cement) and paid partly construction labour since the construction had started. After recieving my second transfer, I bought iron sheets, timber, nails, a door, window and completed money for labour. I am now sleeping in my new house which has relieved me from the leaking hut.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly did well to give me cash that I spent to buy construction materials and paying builders. GiveDirectly has not done anything bad on my side.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my transfer to purchase construction materials(iron sheets, timber, nails, a door and window ), foodstuffs, paid builders and transport.
