We spent 17,000 KES to buy 25 iron sheets, poles and nails for 11,000 KES and paid 5,000 KES as labour charges. We also bought seats for 5,000 KES, paid school fees for 1,500 KES and kitchen utensils for 1,500 KES. The rest was spent on buying food and other daily HH expenses.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I never had some items which I bought with my token payment as follows; a mattress at 3000 KES, a sack of maize at 2500 KES, school uniform at 600 KES, 2 iron sheets at 1200 KES and food with the remaining 2700 KES.
What are you planning to spend your upcoming transfer on?
I am currently living in a house of 5 iron sheets and therefore when I get that upcoming lumpsum payment, I will build a bigger house of 30 iron sheets.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to buy sand, cement, timber, round poles, nails and iron roofing sheets which I will use to build a better house for my family. I will also pay construction workers who will build the house.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is having worked as a casual worker and by diligently saving my earnings, I finally managed to build my current house.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face right now is lack of a sustainable source of income for myself and my spouse, we rely on casual jobs and these are not always available, so at times we lack even basic necessities in our house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning because I have not met anyone who can annoy me.
