What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on paying a whole year school fee for my son in a boarding secondary school. Besides that,I fenced my home which has enabled me develop some peace with my neighbors who frequently quarreled me over boundary issues.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been since through the transfers, I have managed to solve school fee issue for my son who was almost dropping out of school due to huge school fee arrears. Similarly, I have managed to fence my home which had been a long term dream in life.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well in maintaining independence without giving any consideration to administrative officials. One request I would place is a consideration for those who failed even after embracing the project.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to plough my five acre piece of land that I used to plant maize. I also bought my young children school uniforms and food too.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is having ploughed my five acre piece of land. I belie I will have some good harvest soon and that means more income.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to buy a bag of maize for food since we had a poor harvest the previous season. The remaining amount was spent on finishing up the construction of my pit latrine.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was really happy when I received the money since we had no food in the house.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I would like to use part of the money to expand on farming to increase food security for my family. Secondly l would wish to expand my house since my house is very small to comfortable accommodate me with my family. I would also like to build a house for my children because they are now grown ups and there is need for privacy. Lastly, I would like to use the rest of the money to build a pit latrine for my family.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is that l have struggled to educate my children though they are still in school.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Being farmers the climatic condition has changed therefore affecting productivity of our crops leading to fimine and this is my biggest hardship in life.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is when working in my farm and my crops are doing well hoping to get good harvest .
