What does receiving this money mean to you?
I have a small business in a nearby town. I sell maize in the posho mill I opened. So when I get this money I would love to expand it. I have always wanted to open a maize store where I will stock maize for sale. I need like KES 100000. With every sag of maize, I get 100 KES profit. The profit I earn will help me pay school fees for my son who is in secondary school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My cow delivered who could produce up to 10 Litres of milk a day. This milk I could sell as a source of income. I earned up to KES 4000 per month. This helped me to clear school fees. My son had an easy time studying in school when my other business went down due to COVID-19. It brought joy to my life knowing he can concentrate on his studies.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenge I am currently facing is a lack of money. Since the onset of COVID -19 business went down. At times customers buy on credit and may take time to pay me. This is affecting my business since I depend on it for my other needs like paying school fees for my son.
