How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is much better off since I received the second transfer. This is because my aim of raising quality dairy cows in a conducive environment has attained significant development milestones. If not for the transfer, I could not have managed to purchase the additional cow nor build the milking parlor. Thanks, GD.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my view, GiveDirectly does exceptionally well in its processes including the unquestionable fairness in distributing the financial support to every household in the village. Also, GD adequately prepares recipients before sending their transfers. As a result, most of the recipients would utilize their money well. On the other hand, I do not find anything that GiveDirectly does not do well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent some of my second transfer on purchasing a relatively quality dairy cow to expand my herd. Besides, I spent the remainder on building a milking parlor. As such, I greatly appreciate GiveDirectly for enabling me to pursue my dream of doing reasonable dairy farming.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt so much happy the moment I received money from GiveDirectly. I never thought I could really receieve money from GiveDirectly even after they had made a commitment that they were going to send the money to us. I had already planned on how I was going to spend the money but on receiving the money I reorganised myself on how best I was going to utilize the money to reap maximumly from it.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the improvement in my hotel business. Before, I was running at very low profits and was always thinking of how best I was going to improve it since the little amount of money that I got was just enough to pay school fees leaving us with very little to save up and do the improvements. I have since been able to buy more utensils with the help of these transfer as well as paint the walls in my business premises. This has seen me attract more customers in my hotel as well as make more profits leading to a general rise in the living standards of my family.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used part of my first transfer to buy property for my daughter who had been robbed of her properties in school. Part of the remaining amount was used to improve my small restaurant business at a nearby shopping center while the rest was used to buy potatoe seeds and fertlizers for planting. The hotel business was doing so bad and we had always looked forward to improving it but with the little amount of money gotten from it we were only able to pay bills and school fees for our children. GiveDirectly gave us an opportunity to paint and buy more utensils like sufurias and chairs which saw us make more profits and consequently led to an improvement in the living standards of my family as a whole. The fact that we also planted our farm in time also meant that we are going to have higher harvest from our farms leading to increased income this season.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I have always desired to do 3 things; zero grazing, rear poultry and boost my hotel business.. Due to financial constraints, I have not been able to do so. Receiving this money has given me the power and capability to accomplish this dream since I will use my first transfers to build a cow shed since i already have a store. I will also buy some poultry with my second transfer and boost my hotel business.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the afternoon when my work is done. I spend the entire morning in my small hotel preparing food for my customers. In the afternoon, all my customers have eaten and I rest as I plan for the following days activities.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Lack of finances is my main challenge currently. I have a very small piece of land. As a result, my cows don't get enough feeds resulting in low milk production. This means that I get little or no income from the milk I get.
