What did you spend your third transfer on?
When we received our third transfer, we combined it with first and second money we had received from Give Directly and spent it on a motorcycle. This is something we had been longing for since we had identified a gap in the market. Currently, we use the motorcycle for taxi business to generate for us daily income that caters for our household needs.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received transfers from Give Directly in that, I have managed to acquire a motorcycle for a taxi business that has created for us self-employment. We are now employed as opposed to before and therefore we can meet our basic needs with a lot ease.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my own opinion, what Give Directly does well is that it gives us money in exchange of nothing-we don't need to repay back, however, I feel that the percentage of the poorest who were incorporated in the program was below par.
