What did you spend your third transfer on?
I used a portion of the transfer to pay my three children school fee. I used a portion of the remaining transfer to expand my retail shop. I also purchased foodstuffs for family consumption with the rest of the money.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I'm relieved from roaming from relative to relative in search of my children's' fee.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
What GD does well is that it reaches the beneficiaries directly without going through the corrupt third parties. To be honest, I'm not aware of what GD doesn't do well.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
My first plan is to use part of the transfer to build a new house, because this one is in a bad condition. Secondly, I intend to use another part of the transfer, to pay school fees for my two children in secondary school, and another one whom we expect to join form one next year. Lastly, I intend to use the remaining amount to boost my shop's stock.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I am very proud of is, having bought a cow, using savings from my shop, that is now providing us with milk for family use, instead of buying.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced is, paying school fees for my two children in secondary school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening, when I am resting at home with my children, after closing the shop.
