How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different from how it was before because I have been able to build a decent house for my family. Apart from having a good shelter, we now sleep well unlike before since the transfer enabled me to buy some beddings. Also, I feel like I am well updated with current affairs in our country through listening to the news using our radio. I would not have been able to achieve all this had it not have been for GiveDirectly.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well by giving us financial aid without any discrimination. This money helped us to achieve a lot of things that we were not able to achieve at our own cost. I do not see anything that they did not do well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent some amount from my second transfer to buy some beddings for my family to replace the old clothes we were using as beddings. Also, I bought a solar panel for lighting purposes in my household. This has helped me to save the money I would otherwise use in buying paraffin. As a way of investing this money, I bought two goats for rearing. I will always lean on these assets in case of financial challenges. On the remaining amount, I bought some decent clothes and food for my family.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I would say that the biggest difference fro is that I was able to buy new sofa-set which I never had before because I used to get very embarrassed whenever I got visitors who came to pay me a visit and they had to sit on rugged seats. Right now I no longer gets embarrassed whenever I get visitors because I have enough space that can accommodate them very comfortably.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt so happy after receiving the cash from the organization because I was so broke by then yet I needed to make a change in my life which I did not know how it could come.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I used the money to buy a new music system, a blanket and a few household items such as a new sofa-set and cooking pots and a mattress because are what I lacked the most at that particular time.

The happiest part of my day is in the morning when doing cleaning in my house. I like a clean environment.

The biggest hardship I have faced in my life was being unable to pursue my studies to college level. My age mates are now employed and earning good salary, I do feel bad when I meet them.
