What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on purchasing 42 pieces of Iron sheets that I have used to construct a very spacious house to replace the tiny grass thatched one that I had before. I am so happy that all my family members are comfortably accommodated in my the new house. Having this house was a dream which could not be fulfilled due to lack of finances. I am happy with GiveDirectly for ensuring that this dream comes true.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has greatly changed upon receiving these transfers. My dream of acquiring a better house had finally been accomplished.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, I can't really quantify the good work done by GiveDirectly as the description is too huge to fit a page. In summary, GiveDirectly has outstood to be best organisation I have ever seen in my entire life.

I used a significant percentage of the money to buy cows for ploughing.Before i used to hire casual labourers to help me plough my farm, this was always expensive for me.

From my first transfer, I spent 2,000 KES to buy iron sheets, bought fertilizer at 720 KES, bought 1 goat at 2,500 KES, bought shoes at 1,650 KES, bought 1 sack of maize at 1,500 KES, bought a jiko at 250 KES, bought for my wife a dress at 1,000 KES and the remaining 250 KES I spent to buy food for my family.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
We plan to spend our transfer on building a new bigger house, we also intend to buy two bulls to help in ploughing and lastly we will use the remaining amount to lease some land and plant maize and beans this is because we have very small piece of land.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement we're proudest of is having been able to build our current house, we used to live in thatched leaking house which would make our life very difficult during rainy seasons.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The hardship we're facing currently is that of living on an empty house with no furniture at all,this makes it very difficult when we have visitors around who in most cases sit on containers or stones.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in the morning when I'm cultivating in my farm, this is because the produce here keeps us going.
