What did you spend your second transfer on?
I used 1,000,000Ugx for payment of dowery; 350,000Ugx for hosting my inlaws in my home; and the balance I used on clothing and food.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly has done soo well in helping me to get money for marriage since am an orphan without much financial support. On the other hand, givedirectly has done nothing bad in my opinion.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I used to be single and jobless but when I received the cash transfer I was able to marry and start up my own business something that I could have not been able to do.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to re-stock a shop i had started at Ugx 1,000,000, bought six bags of cement at 190,000, sand and aggregate at Ugx 340,000, paid labour Ugx 170,000.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment i received my money, i was extremely happy to extent of losing sleep, and i kept checking my mobile account to ensure it was real, not a hoax.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is i can now afford to meet household needs unlike before when i wasn't sure how the day will end.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face in my life is sickness of hepatitis B which makes me to worry all the time.like I will die soon ever since, I got diagnosed from the hospital.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is evening during time of going to bed. because it's a time when i say my prayers to God and I dream at night,some times those dreams becomes reality.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money will help me to expand my small scale business to a bigger one.and then the balance I will use for plastering my house with cement and carry out treatment of hepatitis B.
