Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal for the next four months is to save money to build a kitchen house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I paid school fees for my children in school. I depend on casual jobs in the village to earn an income and also from the sales from milk. The amount of money I get is so small and cannot gather for all the basic needs at once. My children at some points we're sent home and this was affecting their performances. I used to struggle so hard and it was giving me so much stress because the money I could get was not enough .I paid school fees for my children and they were able to sit for their exams on time. There performance had improve compared to previous terms. I have devoted much of my time on dairy farming to generate additional income to support on meeting additional needs. I'm so happy because my living standard has really improved.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I will have saved enough to pay school fees for my children.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I was able to buy a calf, pay school fee and buy enough food for our household without hustle. I was able to clear fee for a full term hence I am free to plan for the next one.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to have a better standard of living because we will be having a source of income and have a little surplus to save and not just work continuously without financial progress. We plan to buy poultry and have an income in addition to sale of milk in the coming year.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Had I not received funds from Give Directly I would still be having a low living standard. My life would still be feeling as though we are jumping up and down with work but no economic progress. We would still be having many needs yet not enough funds to meet them.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
You can at times have goals but lack funds to execute them. I have been desiring to have a cow that will give us milk for sale as an investment. Our goal is to combine our household transfers from Give Directly to buy a good-breed cow that goes for 60000 KES. It will give us enough milk for sale and enable us to pay recurring expenditures such as school fee.
