What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on harvesting my rice. It was time for harvesting and most people had done so, I needed to harvest mine as well but lacked the resources to for that. Am so proud that everything worked as planned through the help of GiveDirectlty.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is so different than it would have been if I never received the transfers as I no longer struggle to bring food to table. In addition, I have advanced in my farming activities, doing large scale rice farming instead of the small scale that I did before.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has transformed so many people's lives without any sign of corruption or discrimination.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I used 35000 KES of my second transfer to rent and cultivate a 2 acre piece of land so as to get some income from it upon harvest. I then constructed an animal shed for my goats since they were staying outside and I would get worried about them during the rainy season. The balance was spent on buying dry maize for my family as there was little food left in my food store.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that the transfer has made me get involved in rice farming unlike before when I only grew maize since rice requires more money to be invested in terms of ploughing, pesticides and fertilizers.
