I BOUGHT A COW BECAUSE IT IS AN INVESTMENT
Enrolled
access_time almost 2 years ago
What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
I am so existed because this is an opportunity for me to get a piece of land near town at $677.17 , a cow and establish my so desired businesses of selling matooke plus buying milk at 1,083.47 and reselling it so that I can more income to take care of my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I was so happy to pay a big portion of my son's Tution who his finished teaching course which was for 2 years. I was able to pay $203.15 as tuition from some of the pieces of Land that I would hire out for 2 years and in return would get $81.26 per year. I also brew local beer
I am also so happy that my son got an opportunity to be retained at his former School which is Nyondo teaching college for a part time position. So out of his earnings, he will be able to finish up his balance of the school fees and also develop himself as a young man of 28 years.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenge I am facing currently is providing school fees and acquiring food for my 4 children. Of which two are grandchildren and the two are biological children.
The mothers to the grandchildren are not stable in their marriages so I carry the burden of making sure they are all in school since I took over responsibility in 2013 while they were babies.
Also the harsh climatic condition right now does not favour me to continue with the subsistence farming and having some casual work from which when it's a raining I am able to do subsistence farming and get income to support my household, buy food, seeds to plant and fertilizer for my garden.
