What did you spend your third transfer on?
When I received the cash from GD, I decided to plaster my house and then invest with the money. I boosted my small business where I normally sell carrier bags to my customers. I can say that my business has picked up so well and I cannot complain in any way.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent most of my second transfer to buy a cow for milking since I did not have livestock in my compound, I restocked my shoe business which is my major source of income. The remaining amount, I spent to complete a down payment on iron sheets which I had used to build my house and also bought food for my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly did well in sending us transfers which has changed the living standards of recipients through building of iron roofed houses and also some recipients started businesses. I have not seen anything that GD did not do well.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
If I would not have received the transfer, I would not have restocked my business which was almost collapsing and this makes me very happy. Thank you GD for the transfer.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
Our first plan is to use part of the transfer to buy two cows, that would provide us with milk . Secondly, we intend to use another part of the transfer to plough our farms and plant crops like maize, beans and others. Lastly, we plan to use the remaining amount to start a small business of selling fish.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
Having bought four sheep with savings from our small business, is the achievement we are very proud of.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Managing to get food on a daily basis, for our family to eat, because of insufficient income, has been the biggest hardship we have faced.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I am doing my household chores.
