What did you spend your third transfer on?
I used a larger portion of the transfer to pay my children school fee. I also purchased foodstuffs and other household items with the rest of the money.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that my son who used to be home due to school fee is in school after settling his fee and I believe after his graduation from the university he will support his siblings.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, what GD does well is that it deal with beneficiaries directly without involving our local chiefs. I wish GD could continue helping us on a monthly basis.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my transfer on paying school fee for my daughter who is in university and my son who is in high school. i then invested some of the transfer in rice farming and I am hoping to make good profit. I then spent the rest on buying food for my family.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have some relief and I am stress free especially concerning my children's school fee payment.

I spent my first transfer on buying a bag of dry corn for food (4,000 KES), gave my son who is an undergraduate University student money for his upkeep (6,000 KES) since he is enrolled in the Parallel University program.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
Firstly, I intend to use part of the transfer to pay school fees for my child in secondary school in form four, and another one in university. Secondly, I plan to use another part of the transfer to enrol my three daughters for community health, Early Childhood Development and catering courses. Lastly, I plan to use the remaining amount to boost the stock of my business of selling vegetables like kales and tomatoes.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I'm proudest of is, having been able to take care of my children, since my husband passed away in 2001.

The biggest hardship I have faced is, paying school fees for my children.
